Little update

Since I have not been keeping new posts here lately I thought I would throw a little update on our family out there.  Madison of course turned two not too long ago-and is growing so much everyday.  She is forming sentences, learning numbers, her alphabet, colors, and a whole lot more.  I can not believe how much information she can retain and spit back out-and make sense.  It's just crazy.  She is a very active on the go child-but she does learn and retain a lot of what she sees and hears (most of the time a good thing-although sometimes not so good)=).
Our other two family members-a.k.a the dogs are doing well too.  Zuess (the shih tzu) and Mackie (the boxer) are now good buddies.  Most of the time I find them laying up next to each other in Mackie's kennel.  I wasn't sure of how they would get along but they are doing good.  Zuess is not really supposed to be an outside dog-but he loves it and MAckie and he always gets absolutely disgusting outside but I feel so bad keeping him in all the time.  most of the time I end up first giving Madison her bath the giving Zuess his bath.  I guess you can say he is my other child.
Ryan and I are doing well too.  Since the weather is cooling off we have resumed the work on the house.  We are almost finished with our half bath.  Ryan is working on my office/computer area (which is a closet in Madison's playroom) but hey-I can't complain!  After those two projects are done it is off to the garage for some more tearing out and remodeling.  I will be so happy when we are all finished.  Our ultimate goal is to finish-find land-sell-and build the house of our dreams . . but there are still steps we need to complete before reaching that ultimate goal.  We will get there. . .Ryan works very hard to try to finish things around here.  Hopefully I can get some pics up of the finished projects.  Other than that-everything has stayed pretty quiet  and normal.  All is good at the MAloney house!!!  I hope to talk to everyone soon!!

Boating fun

This summer we were lucky enough to be able to have our own boat but also have great friends that also have their own.  We spent many of our days this summer on the water.  Since we are so close to the river and the bay we are able to go tubing, knee boarding, skiing, swimming, and our favorite-to visit some of the local dock/tiki bars.  We had so much fun I can only hope we can do it again next year!!
Me, Joyce, and Vicki keeping cool in the water.

Not too sure if this is safe-but were pros baby!!

Me and my girl Joyce-note the matching koozies Thanks Joyce!!

Joyce and Jay-

On our way to Jelly fish Joels-a really laid back tiki bar/beach hang out across the bay. There were so many boats heading out it was like a highway on water! Crazy

First view entering into the inlet. There are tons of huge boats, cigarette boats, yachts.

Birthday blowout

Saturday we had Madison's 2nd birthday party at Ryan's mom's house.  We had everything all set up for an outdoor event.  Well too bad it poured its butt off halfway through.  We had about 50 people crammed into the house-Madison got slightly overwhelmed, and the cake scared her half to death.  Oh well . . . we still had a good ole time! Oh and sorry I didn't get more pics of Madison--I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off.  I am hoping Ryan's mom got some more pics so I can post them.!!

Not only do we have Madison's birthday party, but Ryan's close military buddy is going to be staying with us for the weekend too. He was flown in to the D.C. area to begin rehab with a prostetic leg. We will def have a full household for the next few days!! Lets get this party started!!

Help!

Ever since I was a wee little girl I always had a problem with keeping things neat and tidy. Just ask my parents or grandparents. My room would drive them absolutely nuts it was always so messy with clothes shoes and anythig else you could imagine strung all over the place. I could only seem to keep things straight when mom or dad would lay down the law and threaten me with the loss of a beloved toy or activity. Now that I am all grown up and have a house of my own, I am still having trouble with the whole organization thing. Yes I keep my house halfway clean and tidy-but it is just not to the caliber I would like it to be. Between working full time and a toddler I just never seem to find the time to work on this black hole we call our home. The really bad thing is-it is really causing stress around the house. With my inability to put things away and my husband's need for tidyness(??) it is driving both him and I crazy. I really think I need professional help. If there is anyone out there reading this blog-HELP! PLEASE! Suggestions, comments, websites, books, anything! =) Before Maloney sanity turns into Maloney Maheim!

Fast food gone bad

This week is going to be a busy one. We are trying to plan for Madison's 2nd birthday party and of course we have almost 60 people invited. I know I know crazy for a 2 year old. SO we have a lot of shopping and Sam's clubbin to do. Well, tonight we made our trip to bulk buying heaven with Ryan's mom and sister. We decided to stop at Boston Market on our way. Unfortunately we ended up experiencing the fast food nightmare. Ryan's mom took a bite out of her cornbread and HELLO nasty used bandaid. YUCK!! Needless to say we all lost our appetite-got our money back-and ended up eating dairy queen ice cream for dinner (it wasn't all bad after all)!! So for the Boston Market eaters beware-you never know what is lurking in that cornbread.EEEEWWWW.
